About Fornard
With 15 years of teaching and work experience, I have built my path as a drum tutor with dedication, curiosity, and a strong passion for helping students grow. I enjoy teaching school to college students because each age group brings different strengths and learning styles. Over the 15 years, I have learnt to adapt my methods so every student feels supported, confident, and excited about learning music. My career includes moments that continue to inspire me. One milestone was training a group of students who performed a full drum piece at a cultural festival. Watching them play with energy and teamwork was unforgettable.
Another meaningful achievement was guiding several students who struggled with rhythm at first but later developed strong timing and coordination. Their transformation strengthened my belief that patience and steady practice can change everything. In my lessons, I keep learning simple and enjoyable. I teach rhythm basics, stick handling, tempo control, and creative drumming patterns in a step-by-step way. I use real music examples, slow demonstrations, and practical exercises to help students understand clearly. I also encourage them to express themselves through music, ask questions freely, and build healthy practice habits. As a tutor, my goal is not only to teach drumming techniques but also to help students develop discipline, confidence, and a love for learning. I believe every learner carries unique musical potential, and it is my responsibility to guide them with positivity and patience. Music has shaped my journey, and teaching allows me to share that joy with others. Each lesson is a chance to inspire, motivate, and help students grow into strong, creative musicians.

My teaching methodology for Drums is based on Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity. I aim to make learning the drums simple, enjoyable, and achievable by focusing on clear explanations, steady guidance, and practical exercises. Students learn not only how to play the instrument but also how to understand rhythm and express themselves through music. Motivation is a key part of my lessons. I help students stay focused by giving structured practice routines, weekly goals, and encouraging feedback. Whether they are learning basic beats or advanced patterns, I make sure they feel inspired and confident as they improve.
Communication is one of my strongest tools. I explain each concept in simple English and break down rhythms into small, manageable steps. My demonstrations are slow, clear, and repeated until the student feels fully comfortable. Students are encouraged to ask questions, experiment, and share their learning goals. Integrity guides how I manage each lesson. I maintain a respectful and supportive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and growing at their own pace. My feedback is honest but friendly, helping students understand their strengths and the areas they need to work on. Creativity makes drumming fun. I help students explore grooves, write their own drum parts, and play along with different genres like pop, rock, funk, and fusion. I also include rhythm reading, timing drills, hand-foot coordination, and simple theory to build a strong foundation. Besides drums, I teach rhythm concepts, percussion basics, music understanding, and practice strategies that help students become skilled and confident musicians.
