About Julian
I am a secondary school teacher / tutor qualified to teach chemistry and biology at KS3, KS4 and KS5, and physics and maths at KS3 and KS4. I hold a current DBS certificate and I now tutor online on a one-to-one basis. I safeguard and protect my students, encouraging their growth and nurturing their confidence. I plan my lessons around your needs and go at your pace, while ensuring you are on track to achieve to your full potential. I will prepare you for your internal and external exams. You will achieve this by practising many exam-style questions set and assessed by me using the guidance of official mark schemes and examiner reports.

More than 20 years' successful experience teaching chemistry, biology at A level, GCSE and KS3 in schools and now tutoring these subjects online. I also tutor online in physics and maths at GCSE and KS3. I provide detailed explanations of the theory and give plenty of structured practice questions including past paper questions. My students’ requirements are central to my methodology. Typical lesson time is one hour, but I am flexible and offer longer lessons more often in the week, when preparing my students for their exams. With a master’s degree in chemistry and being a chartered chemist with The Royal Society of Chemistry for more than 35 years, I have access to numerous teaching and learning resources that my students find very helpful.
