About Caitlin
I am a graduate education student studying the science of learning mathematics. I have 5 years of experience tutoring high-school mathematics, 1 year of experience teaching elementary mathematics, and 4 years of experience as a teaching assistant in university calculus and linear algebra. I am extremely passionate about mathematics education and ensuring success for youth. I am also very passionate about finding and developing one's potential for various career options, such as engineering, healthcare, and education.

I aim to cater my tutoring to all learning styles and abilities. During a typical introduction lesson, I start by conducting a diagnostic assessment of general areas of difficulty. Then, I ask the student about more specific challenges they have. I develop lessons which allow the student to tackle various problems, and I spend the beginning of lessons going through solutions to problems they find difficulty with. I also encourage the student to attempt solutions by themselves, with my assistance if required. As a graduate education student studying mathematical cognition, I am knowledgeable on anxieties related to learning math. I am also knowledgeable on various learning styles, and I strive to teach each individual student in the best way possible depending on their preferences . As such, my lessons are for all levels, from early elementary school to university (with specialization in high school).
