About Gabriel
I have a Masters in Collaborative Piano from University of Massachusetts and a Masters in Solo Piano from Sam Houston State University. Teaching has been part of my life for 10 years and I have taught people from all different ages and needs. Classical, popular and jazz are the most popular genres amongst students. I also have experience in teaching Music Theory, Arrangement and History of Music in conservatories in Brazil. It would be great to bring these topics to class as well. Playing in recitals both solo and collaborative is a passion. Throughout the year of 2020, I have developed a project with Latin-America Music and collaborated with online masterclasses and music festivals. At the moment, I run a Music School that presents courses in Sight-Reading, History and Literature of Music, Music Theory 1, 2, 3 and 4, preparation for exams, i.e. ABRSM, etc. I am also involved in projects in Chamber Music in Texas.

My methodology varies according to the students’ needs. Here are some examples of how I approach the classes: .Warm up exercises .Body exercises (shoulder and arm stretch) .Repertoire planning .Music Theory Other topics that may be included: .History of Music .Creation of Arrangements .Music Software (i.e. Sibelius) Additional events: .Online recitals .Online masterclasses (NEW!) The methods used in class are Brendel and Faber, which are excellent methodology used by international music courses.
