Gonzalo is an awesome teacher. Two years ago, I decided to learn lyric singing, which was completely new to me. He taught me all I know, and I’ve reached a point where I have performed Puccini’s arias in recitals. Gonzalo is always studying to improve his technique and pedagogy, and he is also dedicated to finding the perfect repertoire for his students, as well as sending them different videos to help them understand concepts that might seem difficult at first. He is also a crossover performer and teacher, being able to sing in several styles. He taught me how to belt when I wanted to try out a different repertoire (musical theater and contemporary pop music). I can say today I feel comfortable singing in both of my registers, chest and head voices, as well as in different singing styles, lyric and belting. Not even once did I feel like I was straining my vocal chords since working with him: I have learned how to safely move across registers and styles while using my voice to its best ability. Finally, I have always felt very at ease with Gonzalo, which I believe is of utter importance when learning something new, especially in private lessons. To sum up, I couldn’t recommend him more!

Gonzalo is a very technical teacher, yet flexible and attentive to each student’s individual needs. I started taking lessons as a hobby, having never sung before, and ended up falling in love with music thanks to his engaging teaching style and extensive knowledge. I started taking classes with Gonzalo because my wife and I had the crazy idea that my friends and I should perform as a band at our wedding, and I should be the lead singer.
