About Tina Louise
I have a PhD in materials chemistry. I spend most of my time on research projects. I have taught college-level introduction to chemistry, general chemistry, general chemistry lab, organic chemistry and lab, and nanotechnology. I have run educational programs in STEM that focus on quantum. I have mentored 50+ students in research at the undergraduate and graduate level.

I like to know what the learning goals are. If you are taking a class, I like to see how you are approaching the course. I like to provide tools and structure to do well in your course. These strategies will work for every class you are taking. I also like to understand your learning style. If you learn by listening, then we are in the same boat. I then like to find out what skills you need to strengthen. I will develop a plan to improve on the skills that need improving while at the same time helping you to build confidence in your natural approach to learning. I will spend time reinforcing how to be successful in your course according to your teacher. My approach is based on a love for learning. The right approach and attitude will yield the desired outcome, of course, with the work.
