About Shivshankar

My name is Shiv, and I'm a junior at Brown University studying applied mathematics and computer science. I have over 5 years of experience working as a tutor for math, physics, and computer science. I really value taking the time to get to know each student's individual preferences and learning styles, and my approach is always responsive to your needs as a student.

About the lesson

I have over 5 years of experience tutoring students in math and physics, and have successfully prepared students for AP Physics exams. A typical session consists of a targeted lesson focusing on core conceptual ideas, followed by practice problems that progress from partnered solving to individual practice. Looking forward to meeting you!

I am pleased to recommend Shivshankar, who has proven to be an exceptional tutor. Shiv played a crucial role in my preparation for the ACT/SAT exams, and I am grateful for his dedicated assistance. His tutoring style is both engaging and effective, tailoring lessons to address specific areas of improvement. Thanks to Shiv's guidance, I not only gained a deeper understanding of the test material but also saw a remarkable improvement in my SAT score by over 100 points. I highly recommend Shiv as a tutor for anyone seeking not only to excel in standardized tests but also to develop a solid foundation in the subject matter. His expertise, patience, and passion for teaching make him an outstanding educator.
