About Eva

Hello everyone, my name is Eva and I am in my final year of Computer Science undergrad. I am also a physics student and hence teach all the subjects that fall under this umbrella. I have been professionally teaching at all grade levels for the last 4 years and did some volunteering work prior to that. I am also an avid reader and play the piano occasionally.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach is all about creating a personalized and supportive learning experience. I specialize in one-on-one sessions, which allows me to fully focus on each student's unique needs and learning style. My goal is not just to help you with a specific problem, but to empower you with a deeper understanding of the subject so you can feel confident tackling future challenges on your own.

My methodology is rooted in active learning and conceptual understanding. Instead of just lecturing, I guide you through the material using a series of questions and exercises. I believe in helping you discover the solution yourself, rather than simply giving you the answer. This approach strengthens critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Every lesson is customized, but a typical session might look something like this:

-Review and warm-up (5-10 minutes)
-Introduction of new concepts (20-25 minutes)
-Guided practice (20-25 minutes)
-Application and Q&A (5-10 minutes)

What truly sets my tutoring apart is my commitment to customization and flexibility. I don't use a one-size-fits-all curriculum. Instead, I design each lesson specifically for you. I'll take the time to understand your learning style, academic goals, and even your personal interests to make the material more engaging. My approach is also highly empathetic and patient; I understand that learning can be frustrating at times, and I'm dedicated to creating a low-pressure environment where you feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.

My lessons are designed for students at various levels who are looking for personalized, one-on-one instruction. I specialize in subjects like calculus, physics, and advanced mathematics. My students typically include:

-High school students preparing for AP exams or looking to improve their grades in challenging subjects.
-Undergraduate students in STEM fields who need a deeper understanding of specific concepts in their coursework.
-Adult learners who are returning to school or want to brush up on their skills for career advancement.
