About Jack
I have been tutoring math for 7 years. My tutoring experience started at Kumon, where I helped students ages 5-15 understand various levels of math, ranging from elementary algebra to precalculus. After three years of tutoring at Kumon, I moved on to become a tutor at The Ohio State University for two years, helping college students reach their goals in their precalculus and calculus courses. Then, I worked in a teaching assistant role for a semester, where I led recitations for an OSU precalculus class. Now, I work as a freelance tutor and an actuarial analyst.

My tutoring approach is to help students through problems step by step to help them better understand the solution process. With this strategy, students are quickly able to become more comfortable with each type of problem. Over time, students are able to master the material and confidently take on every problem.
What sets me apart is my attention to detail, patience, experience, versatility, and strong math expertise. I am able to teach students from young children to adults and subjects from elementary math to calculus.
