About Maxwell
I didn’t become a tutor because I was good at math—I became one because I love helping people understand it. Over the past 10+ years, I’ve taught everything from basic fractions to college-level economics, working with students of all ages and backgrounds. I’ve seen firsthand how the right support can turn confusion into confidence. I hold a Master’s in Quantitative Economics and have taught at universities, community colleges, and in one-on-one settings. I bring that same level of care and professionalism to every tutoring session, whether we’re preparing for an exam or building foundational skills from the ground up. I get that math and economics can feel intimidating—especially if you’ve ever been told you’re “just not a math person.” My approach is to change that story. I focus on making complex ideas feel clear and relevant, using real-world examples, visuals, and a down-to-earth teaching style that meets you where you are.
Each session is customized. We figure out what’s tripping you up, and then build a path forward that actually makes sense to you. I’ve taught over 100 college-level courses, but I’ve also worked with middle schoolers, adult learners, and students with ADHD—so I know how to adapt to different needs and learning styles.
