About Nate
My passion has always been for teaching! I not only enjoy learning, but passing on that knowledge to others in creative, enjoyable, and persistent ways. I have been tutoring/teaching students for over 10 years, mostly at the high school or college level. I go out of my way to make sure my students are feeling not only capable, but confident about the content we have covered.

My main focus is on finding where the student is at and what they already know so I can build up knowledge from there using the Socratic method to ask questions. That way it is the student who makes the connection themselves to ensure the information sticks. I use my broad content knowledge from my math degree, combined with my teaching insight from my education degree to explain concepts in different ways for the middle school, high school, or college math student to understand.
