Zack is one of our best Maths tutors. They have a high-quality profile, verified qualifications, a quick response time, and great reviews from students!

About Zack

I graduated from Tufts University in Boston with a degree in Economics. Before working in the education industry, I was in California working for Pacific Gas and Electric, a utility company. I enjoyed my early career at PG&E, but after helping students in a part-time capacity, I knew my true calling was to help motivated people achieve academic success.

When not tutoring, I like to ice skate, hike, read, spend time with family, and do some light and personal studing on subjects like Physics and Philisophy.

About the lesson

My lessons focus on providing the most value for an hour of time, and I have found addressing homework first is key. This approach allows me to quickly understand a student's strengths and weaknesses. Also, completing homework serves as a great incentive to keep them focused.

During homework help, if a student repeatedly struggles with a question type (say balancing an algebraic equation) then we will immediately address that skill through explanations, more questions, and repeating concepts back to me in their own words.

Review

All of our reviews are collected by us and are 100% reliable. They correspond to a real experience lived by the students of Zack.

Perfect! Zack was great I was not paying attention in stats at all and in 2 sessions he helped me go from knowing very little to getting a 97 on my project and 85 on my test. Without his help I would’ve for sure failed both!!

Perfect! I went to Zack for help with the math Praxis. I found him to be very knowledgeable on the subject matter and understood my deficiencies and what I needed to learn in order to pass. Zack is not only patient, but also very encouraging. His manner is easy and he creates an environment that is conducive to learning. As an older student, Zack made me comfortable in understanding what I did not know. He wanted me to understand the "why" behind the complicated equations so that I would be successful in answering any question. He gave me the tools and the confidence to successfully pass the test. He may even have gone so far as to make me believe that math can be fun! If you are looking to hire a knowledgeable and patient tutor for yourself or your child, I highly recommend that you look no further than Zack!

My son, an 11th grader, has had several lessons with Zack and he absolutely enjoys Zack’s help. Zack is a fantastic tutor. My son has always struggled in English and we were dreading ACT testing. Zack has flashed light of hope. My son feels confident and English seems more clearer now thanks to Zack. He is very knowledgeable in the subject matter and extremely patient. If you are seeking a serious, knowledgeable, engaging and compassionate tutor, Zack is your tutor.

Working with Zack on the SAT has been a huge help for our kid. Before Zack, he dreaded the reading and writing parts – felt like hitting a wall. Zack was able to create a personalized plan to tackle them, and stayed patient during the sessions. He approached the reading and writing sections with a care - it never felt like he was rushing. We are deeply grateful for his support and highly recommend him to any student aiming to elevate their SAT scores.

I've referred many previous students to Zack without hesitation, typically SAT or larger testing scenarios.
He developed a custom plan for a few of them which I was impressed with. If you need an effective, affordable, and custom tutor, Zack should be your top choice.
