About William
I have tutored many students in regular school Math and competition Math, such as MATHCOUNTS and AMC. I also help students prepare for SAT Math and SSAT Math. I teach Math in a fun way! Many years ago, as a high school student, I achieved almost perfect scores in a more challenging, Chinese-style SAT Math.
For over 10 years, I have tutored elementary, middle, and high school students in various Math subjects, including Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, MATHCOUNTS, AMC competitions, SAT, SSAT, and more.
I have tutored my own children as well. While I respect privacy and don't disclose other students' competition results, I can share my own children's achievements. My first son ranked second in Colorado, became a MATHCOUNTS national finalist, and qualified for the USAMO (United States of America Mathematical Olympiad). He achieved perfect scores in SSAT and SAT Math, which helped him gain acceptance into the best public school in the US and Duke University at the age of 16. Tutoring him in Math was an enjoyable experience.
My second child is the state champion of the Oregon MATHCOUNTS competition and a MATHCOUNTS national finalist, with his name listed on MATHCOUNTS' official website. He completed College Calculus 1 and 2 with A grades in 8th grade. Additionally, he scored perfectly in SSAT Math and AP Calculus exams as a middle schooler.
