About Mark
Hello! My name is Mark Garrard, and I have been tutoring for more than seven years at this point. I am an alumnus of Montana State University, where I earned both a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science and a Master's degree in Mathematics. I am now based in Philadelphia, where I continue to tutor. I've always loved math, even from a young age, and one of the first things that drew me to the subject was fractals, something I still marvel at to this day.

As a tutor, my personal philosophy is that true mastery of material comes not from simply learning formulas, but from understanding the reasoning behind them. I have worked with individuals at all levels of understanding and comfort with the subject matter, and tailor my tutoring style to match each individual student's needs.
