About Hayden
My interest in Mathematics began with a fascination for numbers, patterns, and logical reasoning. I completed my Bachelor’s degree followed by a Master’s in Mathematics, which helped me develop a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and problem-solving techniques. Over the past 10 years, I have worked with students from different backgrounds, helping them overcome challenges and build confidence through clear and structured teaching methods that focus on understanding rather than memorisation.
I believe that every student has the ability to succeed in Mathematics with the right guidance and support. My teaching style focuses on clear explanations, step-by-step problem solving, and consistent practice. I take time to understand each student’s strengths and difficulties so I can adjust my approach accordingly. I also create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring different methods, which helps them build both confidence and independence in their learning process.
Outside of teaching, I continue to engage with Mathematics by solving problems, exploring new techniques, and learning different approaches to teaching. This helps me keep my lessons fresh and effective. Teaching Maths is deeply fulfilling because I see students grow from feeling unsure to becoming confident problem solvers, and helping them achieve this transformation is something I truly value.

Mathematics becomes much more approachable when students understand the reasoning behind each step rather than relying only on memorisation. In my lessons, I focus on topics such as algebra, geometry, and calculus, explaining each concept in a clear and structured way. I guide students step by step so they understand how solutions are formed and why each step is important. By using simple examples and clear explanations, I help students build a strong foundation that supports long-term understanding and reduces confusion.
Lessons are carefully designed to match each student’s level, pace, and learning style. Beginners are guided through basic concepts using simple methods and visual understanding. Intermediate learners focus on applying concepts to different types of problems and improving accuracy. Advanced students work on complex problem solving, time management, and exam preparation strategies. Every session includes practice exercises, guided solutions, and detailed feedback to ensure steady progress and consistent improvement.
Mathematics also helps students develop strong logical thinking and analytical skills that are useful in many areas of life. As they begin to recognise patterns and relationships, they gain confidence in solving problems independently. This not only improves their academic performance but also strengthens their ability to think clearly and make decisions. My goal is to make Maths simple, engaging, and meaningful, helping students build confidence and develop a positive attitude towards learning.
