About Tom
I've been a teacher since I graduated with a BSc in Mathematics and Psychology. Throughout my career, I have been in positions of leadership. I have experience and familiarity with GCSE and A-Level curricula, as well as AP and IB. In my leadership role, I am most passionate about helping other teachers to improve their skills, through the development of student-centred approaches. I believe that all students can reach the highest level of mathematics learning, as long as they are given enough time, and are given the tools to support their own learning.

Having taught a variety of international curricula including GCSE and A-Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics, I use my extensive knowledge and experience both as a teacher and an examiner to identify student misconceptions to drive forward learning. I specialise in taking a problem-solving approach to deepen students' understanding to aid them in making demonstrable progress. In addition, I make use of individualised learning tracking to make sure that students are aware of their own learning, and are maximising their gains.
