About Ava
I have spent 11 years teaching mathematics, earning a B.Sc in Mathematics and an M.Sc in Applied and Computational Mathematics. My career has involved mentoring students at all levels, from foundational learners to those exploring advanced topics and complex applications. I integrate conceptual clarity with practical exercises to make mathematics engaging, accessible, and intellectually rewarding.
My teaching philosophy emphasises patience, individualised support, and student-centred guidance. Lessons combine explanations, examples, exercises, and visualisations to foster deep understanding and independent thinking. I create a motivating environment where learners feel comfortable asking questions, exploring ideas, and building confidence in their abilities.

Mathematics becomes deeply meaningful when students can connect abstract concepts to practical problem-solving and analytical reasoning. My lessons cover algebra, calculus, geometry, probability, statistics, combinatorics, and mathematical modelling. Lesson plans are tailored to student level. Beginners develop arithmetic fluency, foundational algebra, and basic geometric understanding.
