About Emma
I am currently awaiting GCSE results where I am predicted a grade 9 (A* equivalent) in mathematics and have also taken the further mathematics GCSE. This has allowed me to gain a complex understanding of maths! I want to be able to help those younger to develop their maths skills too and help those who struggle to not fall behind simply because they need more time to review a topic.

Graduating from secondary school- predicted a grade 9 in GCSE mathematics (A* equivalent) and also taking further mathematics GCSE.
I offer one-on-one virtual sessions, personalised to focus on the level you want your child to be working at so that it fits alongside the teaching they receive at school. Ultimately they will consist of a topic rundown and then practice questions which I will talk and aid them through- which is sometimes missed in school due to larger classes. This will benefit your child as you can be sure the topics we go over are fully understood and likely to stick better.
These sessions will last around 30 mins to ensure your child is not overloaded with information too quickly (as I understand after school and extra curriculars children can get tired), however I would recommend at least 2 sessions a week to allow consistent progress. Furthermore, I can assist in homework completion and reviewing older topics which may not be done in class.
Virtual lessons only require that your child can listen to me and that a guardian oversees the lesson as well! A document will be sent prior to each lesson which should be printed out so your child can easily access the work.
I have experience teaching a 6 year old during the summer where we explored new topics to allow him to fully understand them in the next academic year and gain a head start. This helped him throughout as he could already had knowledge of the topics and was consolidating them faster in class.
I will also be undertaking mathematics at A Level.
