About Alfie
My name is Alfie Risk and I am studying Mathematics at university in order to become a maths teacher at secondary level. My passion is maths, which is a little nerdy, however I want to teach others the essential knowledge of maths, and hopefully better their lives with this knowledge.

I take an applied approach to teaching, relating mathematical problems to real life situations. This should allow you to fully understand the problem and make it easier for you to figure out the solution logically through experience (even if you have little to none in the subject matter). I am a current student in mathematics, going into my second year of studies, with 4 A levels and 12 GCSEs ( 9s in Maths and Further Maths, and an A* in Maths and A in Further Maths at A level). I have taught GCSE content once a week for 4 months to a year 10 class and have tutored multiple family members, all of which go in to achieve at least 7s in GCSE. My lessons are mostly suited for GCSE students, however I am very well prepared for A level Maths students.
