About Prutha
Hi, I am currently studying biomedicine. I believe that the best and most efficient way to learn, is in a way that is best suited to the individual, there is no, one technique that fits all, so I believe it is important to gain an understanding of the best way a student will learn. When preparing for my own exams, a combination of techniques worked for me including active recall and spaced repetition. These techniques have been proven to be the most beneficial for revision and I would encourage my students to utilise these methods. I also think that learning has to be enjoyable.

I believe that the best and most efficient way to learn, is in a way that is best suited to the individual, there is no, one technique that fits all, so I believe it is important to gain an understanding of the best way a student will learn. I would help students by identifying their weaknesses, and then creating a lesson plan where I would work on 1/2 topics per session, first explaining the topic in detail at a pace the student is comfortable with and then working on questions. I have been tutoring on MyTutor for nearly 2 years, helping students prepare for various exam boards such as the WJEC, AQA and EDEXCEL. When preparing for my own exams, a combination of techniques worked for me including active recall and spaced repetition. These techniques have been proven to be the most beneficial for revision and I would encourage my students to utilise these methods. I also think that learning has to be enjoyable. I have achieved 2 A* in GCSE mathematics and numeracy and an A in A- level maths.
