About Naiha
I’m a third-year student at Royal Holloway with an A* in GCSE Maths, strong analytical skills, and over five years of experience tutoring learners aged 7–18 across schools and tutoring organisations.  Working with children from a range of backgrounds, including those who require extra support, has shown me how powerful the right guidance can be. Seeing a student go from “I can’t do this” to solving a problem independently is the most rewarding part of what I do.  I teach because I truly believe that maths is for everyone. It isn’t about being naturally “good” or “bad” at the subject, success comes from having the right tools, steady encouragement, and learning habits that build genuine understanding. My goal is to make maths feel accessible, enjoyable, and possible for every learner sitting in front of me. By creating a positive environment and showing students how to break down problems step by step, I help them build confidence that lasts well beyond the classroom and develop learning habits which allow them to thrive in any setting.

Every student learns differently, so my first step is always to understand how they learn best. I begin with a short, friendly diagnostic session to identify strengths, knowledge gaps, and any topics that may be holding them back. From there, I create a personalised learning plan targeting the areas that need the most support.  I am happy to explain concepts in multiple ways visual representations, step-by-step breakdowns, verbal reasoning, and practical examples - until everything fully “clicks.” Patience, encouragement, and positive reinforcement are key to building confidence, especially for students who may feel anxious about maths.  To help progress stick, I set tailored homework to reinforce learning between lessons and track improvement over time. I also communicate clearly with parents and, where possible, align with school targets and teacher feedback to ensure consistency and maximise results.  My ultimate aim is not just to improve grades, but to help students believe in their own ability, approach challenges with resilience, and develop the skills they need to thrive independently.
