About Grace
I`m Grace but most people call me Rapha (it`s a good ice breaker, when you ask why!)
I am 23 years old. I speak French fluently (it`s my first language.) I`m a Maths MSc student at the university of Oxford. The aim is to get a PhD at some point. I`m currently between home and uni (Southampton and Oxford) and am looking for students in both cities.
Many children struggle with mathematics and most teachers don`t spend time trying to understand why they are struggling with it and therefore don`t find the best ways to explain mathematics to them. Albert Einstein said that you don`t understand something unless you can explain to your grandmother. As I learn more and more maths, I always imagine how I would relay the information that I am learning. It is the point.

The aim is to get better grades but to be able to apply mathematics independently. Improving confidence when tackling mathematics questions is what most students actually lack, not the ability to manipulate mathematical equations. I always give my students a test every month to monitor improvement. I will base your learning on your examination board.
