About Meryl
Hi, I'm Meryl. I'm just finishing up my PhD and am keen to keep tutoring as this has always been my favourite part of studying --- sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm with others!
I hold an integrated master's in mathematics and astronomy and I will soon qualify with a PhD in physics as well.
I'm looking for some students who are excited to learn about topics in maths, statistics or physics in one-to-one sessions, either online or in-person. I am open to teaching at any level from high school to postgraduate.

Having worked with such a vast range of age groups and backgrounds, I really appreciate how important it is to connect with each student to understand their prior knowledge and individual I.
I also strongly believe that learning is an active process and structure my approach to teaching around nurturing conversation rather than lecturing. I aim to help students to build the confidence to ask questions, make mistakes and figure things out on their own.
