About Danny

My name is Daniel and I am an experienced tutor. I have a maths degree from Bedford College, part of London University. I love maths and will endeavour to inspire my students to love maths as well. I always tutor for an hour, my hours are flexible at your home or online. I also have experience working with students who have special educational needs. Rates £25 an hour, or for 10 lessons £200. First lesson free.

About the lesson

I love maths and take pride in helping students feel more confident and capable in the subject. My lessons are clear, supportive, and often include games or interactive activities to make learning enjoyable. I have a degree in Mathematics and tutor students aged 5–20, up to A-level. Lessons usually last one hour and are personalised to help students make steady, measurable progress.

I have known Danny for over 50 years, since we were at primary school together – we were housemates as we each went to university, and as he got his maths degree; later, he acquired his teaching experience and qualifications. In education and socially, Danny was always the most popular person in the room.

I know from his previous tutoring time, that he received glowing reports (which I have read) back from the young people he taught, and their parents, praising not only his maths ability, but his ability to make lessons fun, which of course meant the children enjoyed them and learned more. I know that this was particularly the case when engaging children who had struggled in a mainstream education environment, whether this was about their learning or other factors, adapting his skills and style to the individual child.

He is a dedicated tutor who invests in the children he teaches and I would always recommend him to someone looking for a maths tutor.
