About Fariha
I am an experienced educator and newcomer support professional with over five years of teaching experience and supporting diverse communities across Canada. Having worked closely with newcomers, I understand the real-life challenges of building confidence in English while adapting to a new country, workplace, and culture.
I believe learning English should be practical, enjoyable, and connected to real life—not just memorizing rules and grammar. My lessons are designed to help you communicate confidently in everyday conversations, at work, during job interviews, and within your community.
As a former university law instructor with a South Asian background and graduate studies from McMaster University, I understand the challenges many newcomers face when adapting to life in Canada. I combine a structured, supportive, and culturally sensitive teaching approach with lessons tailored to each student’s goals, learning style, and pace. Whether you are trying to improve your workplace communication, or simply wanting to speak English more naturally, I’ll create personalized lessons that help you make steady, measurable progress.
Beyond English, I can also share practical insights about life in Canada, workplace culture, resume and cover letter writing, interview preparation, and professional communication to help you succeed both inside and outside the classroom.
My goal is to create a relaxed, encouraging, and fun learning environment where you feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and gaining the confidence to use English in your daily life.

Free first session is to understand your goals, assess your current English level, and create a personalized learning plan.
Group classes (3/4 students) are available for $20/hr each. A package of 8 classes for a group is available for $150 each.
