About Aashna
Hi, my name is Aashna and l'm a third year medical student at UCL. I have been a biology mentor for 5 years now and I understand that each student has their own learning style to which I try my best to cater my teaching methods. On a different website I have received a 100% 5 star rating for biology and medical application tutoring. Most recently I have mentored two students who both went on to receive offers from UCL Medical School for entry this academic year. During my own application, I received interviews at all of the medical schools I chose. As half were traditional interviews and the other half were MMI's, I have knowledge and experience of both formats.The journey from a state school in a deprived area with little guidance has really pushed me to thoroughly learn the dynamics of getting into medical school (from personal statements to admission tests to interviews) and I love passing on what I have learned to people who are enthusiastic about becoming future doctors. I recommend using Zoom however I am open to what you find comfortable as well.

Medicine is an exciting course and getting into medical school is a tough job. I believe I can help students with regular lessons or even a one off meetings for those of you who would just like to gain some confidence. I am flexible with lesson structures- I advise you send me your questions/personal statements beforehand so I can prepare accordingly to maximise your gain from the lesson. l have hosted numerous mock interviews for my mentees and I have found that students are particularly grateful for this experience as medical school interviews are quite different from other courses and a test run before the real thing is extremely helpful. We can do mock interviews in either the MMI or the traditional format that simulate the real environment or just work through common interview questions and model answers.
