I believe that struggling with a subject does not mean you are incapable of learning it—it often means you simply have not found the right approach yet. My goal as a tutor is to make challenging material understandable, build confidence, and help students develop the skills they need to succeed independently.

Teaching Method & Techniques
My teaching approach is supportive, individualized, and focused on true understanding rather than memorization alone. I adapt my teaching style to each student’s learning needs, academic goals, and current level of understanding. I use clear explanations, guided problem-solving, practice questions, real-world examples, and active recall to help students understand challenging concepts and apply their knowledge confidently. I also help students develop effective study strategies that they can continue using independently.

Typical Lesson Plan
A typical lesson begins by identifying the student’s goals and reviewing any areas of difficulty. We then work through challenging concepts step-by-step, with opportunities for the student to ask questions and explain their reasoning. I incorporate practice problems and application-based questions throughout the lesson to make sure the material is understood, not simply memorized. We finish by reviewing key takeaways, identifying areas that need additional practice, and creating a plan for continued improvement.

What Sets Me Apart
As a recent Baylor University graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a current medical student, I understand the demands of rigorous coursework firsthand. With over two years of tutoring experience, I have worked with students from a variety of academic backgrounds and learned how important it is to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. I aim to be more than someone who simply explains the material—I help students build confidence, improve their study habits, and become more independent learners.

Who My Lessons Are For
I tutor students at a variety of levels, from middle and high school students to college and medical students. I have experience tutoring AP Biology, Chemistry, Calculus, Mathematics, and Spanish, as well as undergraduate and medical school coursework including anatomy, physiology, histology, pathology, and biochemistry. Whether a student needs help understanding foundational concepts, preparing for an exam, working through difficult practice questions, or developing more effective study strategies, I tailor each lesson to their specific needs and goals.
