About Vibhu Kumar
I am a current Medical Student at RPI/AMC and have done nearly three years of private tutoring with clients ranging from Middle School to College Years. All my previous clients have seen a significant increase in grades translating to other subjects. I have also taught SAT/ACT prep for two years and guarantee a 200+ point increase. As someone who understands what it feels like to struggle in Math and Science, the many lessons I learned struggling are what make my teaching style unique to better help students.

As a tutor I feel it is best to have consistent contact with my students to ensure what I am teaching is not only being learned by the student but understand. This involves interactive learning using online resources, after-session homework, and interactive simulations to understand information better. A typical lesson plan involves reviewing information learned from the previous class followed by teaching new concepts through PowerPoint and/or online worksheets. Then students will be asked to repeat the new information in a new manner through example problems. As someone who teaches all math from algebra to Pre-calculus and all Science up to Chemistry II, these lessons are for anyone in need of help. As a medical student, I feel my approach to teaching is more personal as I know how it is to struggle on a subject for hours. I feel I can personalize my teaching to help students better and alleviate any stress/struggle.
