About Lucy
Hi, I’m Lucy, a third year medical student at RCSI with a strong passion for science, math and teaching. I was awarded a scholarship for achieving the highest combined Leaving Certificate and HPAT points, so I understand both the academic demands and pressures students face. Having recently completed the Leaving Certificate myself, I know how important clear explanations, efficient study methods and exam technique are for success. With previous teaching experience as a swimming instructor, I bring patience, adaptability and a supportive approach to every lesson, aiming to help students build both confidence and strong results.

My tutoring approach is focused on making difficult concepts clear, manageable and exam-focused. I adapt each lesson to the student’s individual learning style, whether that involves visual explanations, step-by-step problem solving, active recall or intensive exam question practice.
For Chemistry, Biology, and Math, I place strong emphasis on both understanding the material and mastering Leaving Certificate exam technique to help students maximize their results and confidence.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes and are available online at flexible times to suit busy schedules.
I am currently studying medicine at Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland on a scholarship awarded for achieving the highest combined Leaving Certificate and HPAT points. I also have teaching experience as a swimming instructor, which helped me develop strong communication skills, patience and adaptability when working with students.
My grinds are for Leaving Certificate students (Higher or Ordinary Level) looking to improve understanding, confidence, and exam performance in Chemistry, Biology or Math.
