About Luke
My name is Luke Garner. I’m 18, and currently doing a MEng in Computer Science and Cyber Security at the University of Southampton. I am a highly disciplined and well-taught Computer Science and Mathematics student, achieving a 9 at both subjects at GCSE. I then went on to study Maths, Further Maths and Computer Science at A Level, where I secure an A*A*A with top scores for each boundary. My favourite topic for each subject: Maths - Calculus (Differentiation and Integration) Further Maths - Central Limit Theorem and Goodness of Fit tests Computer Science - Data Management, Encryption and Network Security I want to do my utmost best to help you earn the top grades in your subjects, so please feel welcome to ask any questions you may have and don’t feel afraid to give your best effort in each tutorial. And don’t worry about getting things wrong - you’re here to learn and revise, not get things perfect.

When it comes to tutoring, the student always comes first. This goes for both personal and academic needs, ensuring that the student feels that they are being taught to learn, as opposed to being another classroom statistic. How my sessions will run: - Detailed yet entertaining PowerPoint slides with information related to the topic the student is being taught. - Interactive workshops or practice questions to help students consolidate their knowledge. - Additional enriching information for students, including how what they’re being taught applies to the real world around them (one of the reasons most students hate maths is because they don’t know when they’d actually use the information they are being taught!)
