About Frankie
I’m originally from Australia and have spent a number of years studying overseas. I will be relocating to New Zealand later this year and would like to share what I have learnt.
‘Sentient Electric Noir,’ a short film I made in New York, did quite well at festivals across Europe last year, and I will be giving my feature length thesis screenplay, ‘Vampirism,’ one last edit before submitting it to competitions.
I have written stage plays too: ‘Boots and Straps and Immortal Saps,’ and ‘Hypnagogism,’ both of which were staged in Sydney.
In New York, I trained at Atlantic Acting School, followed by Digital Film Academy. I then completed the MFA in Film program at VCFA.

I completed an MFA in Film with Vermont College of Fine Arts, under the mentorship of Mamadou Dia, John Gianvito, and Marya Cohn. I will help you write the film that you want to write.
I will meet you at whatever stage you’re at, whether you have a treatment or a draft, or simply an idea. I will help you form a strategy, provide feedback, and help you get unstuck when things get a bit murky.
Lessons will be one hour long. After each lesson, you will be given a writing task, which can be submitted to me a few days before our next lesson.
From personal experience, I find that a mentoring session once a month works well for feature length scripts, but if you’re writing a short, I’d be happy to meet once a week or once a fortnight.
