About Bailyn
Hi! I'm Bailyn, a freelance choreographer, dance educator, and MFA graduate with a passion for helping dancers build technique, confidence, and artistry at every level.
I teach contemporary, contemporary/jazz, technique, improvisation, choreography, and conditioning for recreational and competitive dancers of all ages. My approach leads with kindness, clarity, and high expectations - I want every dancer I work with to leave stronger technically while feeling genuinely supported and inspired to create.
My choreography is movement-driven and rooted in storytelling, and has earned numerous first-overall placements and choreography awards on the competitive circuit. Whether you're a beginner falling in love with movement for the first time or a competitive dancer refining a solo, I tailor each lesson to where you are and where you want to go.

My lessons are built around technique first, artistry always. Depending on the class, we'll work through a structured warm-up and conditioning sequence, technical combinations across the floor, and choreography or improvisation exercises that push dancers to move with intention and tell a story with their bodies, not just hit steps.
I teach contemporary, contemporary/jazz, technique, improvisation, choreography, and conditioning, and I adapt each session to the dancer or group in front of me - whether that's a recreational student building fundamentals or a competitive dancer polishing a solo for the season. Classes are high-energy but grounded in clear direction and positive reinforcement, so dancers understand why a correction matters, not just that it was given.
I welcome dancers of all ages and levels, and I'm happy to structure lessons around a specific goal: a competition piece, an audition, or general technique growth.
