About Holly

Hello! My name is Dr. H and I am excited to tell you a little about who I am and why I would be an excellent tutor for you. I have over 10 years of teaching experience in the area of English as a Second Language (ESL/ESOL). I have a Master's in Education, a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction, a TEFL certification and a Florida teaching certification in K-12 ESOL. I have taught in 4 different countries to students of all ages and different cultural backgrounds. I have taught ESL to K-12, college and adult learners for many years. My expertise is in all areas of ESL learning (listening, speaking/conversation, reading, writing, vocabulary, accent reduction, English test prep, etc.). I am an enthusiastic, passionate and caring educator, and I look forward to helping you achieve learning success!

About the lesson

My lessons are NOT BORING! We will be engaged with multiple ways of learning to keep things fun and interesting (conversation, visuals, youtube, music, games), or more structured for English test preparation (TOEFL, business English). We will go at your pace and lessons will be designed to fit your English language learning needs and interests. And, I promise I will make you laugh.
