About Abi
Just a little background about me!
I am a junior, studying Cellular & Molecular Biology, and I have recently started filling out applications for my Ph.D., in which I plan on focusing on the specifics of vaccine production and viral replication. I was born and raised in Houston, Texas and I am familiar with the majority of the school districts located in the area, but also the area itself. I prefer home meetings for tutoring as it gives me the opportunity to interact with students in a more comfortable environment however I am also a big advocate for coffee shop study sessions too.
I have a relatively quick response time for questions and am not opposed to replying to messages "after hours" to help with homework and any other questions students might have.

I enjoy studying with an emphasis on repetition and practice problems and my tutoring style definitely reflects that. Of course not everyone studies in the same way so I also put a significant focus on learning one's specific style of learning. Over the week I encourage my pupils to contact me with specific topics and questions they might have in regard to the material they are learning so I can reply with helpful hints and insight, as well as build a personalized lesson plan so I can be better prepared for meetings. I prefer to work with middle school - highschool aged students but depending on the material I am able to help with college and elementary students as well.
