About Mallory
I am a recent Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology graduate who always learned best by helping teach her peers. Whether it was my residents when I was an RA, or to my classmates in organic chemistry, molecular biology, and physics. I have been tutoring in some fashion my whole academic career.
Additionally, this fall I joined LAUSD's StepUp volunteer tutoring workshop to tutor students in the LAUSD school district. Their workshop has allowed me to learn common core strategies to best help students.

From grade school to university learning should be fun and have clear goals for each session. When I help students I want them to engage with the material because I provide unique facts and fun games to help them learn. I utilize zoom, google classroom, and jam board to help collaborate so we can share papers and draw on the same document at the same time.
Allowing students to work through the material and have discussions about why something is correct or not provides a greater breadth of knowledge and critical thinking skills. I tutor with a "not yet" or " Growth" mindset.
