About Hudson
I have performed in professional orchestras across Canada and the United States, studied violin/viola pedagogy with the first teacher of Joshua Bell, and received mentorship from the Principal Violists of the Chicago Symphony and Houston Symphony. As violist of the Lyra Quartet, last summer I performed at Tuckamore Music Festival in Newfoundland and Garth Newel Music Center in Virginia as an Emerging Artist Fellow. I recently received my Master’s from McGill University and previously attended IU Jacobs for my Bachelor’s.
But enough on all that! Above all, I love to teach -- nothing brings me more joy than helping students reach their musical goals. I've taught ever since I was a teenager, giving lessons out of my parents' house to neighbors and siblings of friends (bless them), and despite my relative youth I show no sign of stopping. The truth is I perform in order to teach, and regardless of what's in anyone's bio, the proof is in the pudding, as they say. Take a trial lesson and see if I'm the right teacher for you!
