I teach Maths and Science subjects to Year 4 to Year 10 students. The usual length of a lesson is 60 mins. I taught them by telling them the basic underlying concepts. Engage them with hands-on activities, and problem-solving sessions. I use practical life examples to emphasize the concepts.
