Math is essentially a language, meaning we need to focus on how to translate word problems into solvable algebraic structures. I provide weekly practice worksheets with step-by-step solutions that track your progress against actual exam standards.
We move through various problem-solving strategies that minimize errors. Your board exam success relies on the consistency of your methodology.
I expect you to bring your toughest questions to our sessions so we can break them down together. My degree in financial mathematics ensures that I can provide a rigorous perspective on complex numerical concepts. Solving a difficult set of problems correctly is deeply rewarding.

Calculators hum in the quiet study room as I walk through a linear algebra proof with a student. Holding an MSc in Financial Mathematics and a BSc in CS from UNSW allows me to frame math as a tool for solving real world problems. My background as a first in family student shapes how I support those targeting high level commerce or actuarial degrees.
I have spent 8 years of experience teaching students how to move beyond basic memorization. Understanding the strategy behind the solution is more important than the solution itself.
I find it satisfying to work with ambitious candidates prepping for board exams or university entrance. Mental math techniques and mensuration become second nature when you train with purpose. I still enjoy the challenge of a difficult word problem.
