Hailing from the town of Bongaigaon, in the state of Assam (India), education has always been the foremost need, pushing Mukut Jaman towards purpose and success. A Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy and a business aptitude has opened many doors for this entrepreneur, the Founder of VIDYA JOY PVT.LTD, a platform dedicated to providing students with the right higher educational opportunities worldwide.
The sole purpose that drove Mukut Jaman towards educational consultancy was his drive to serve the underprivileged sections of the society and make them aware of the various opportunities available to the students’ world. The need to make students aware of the opportunities available is not just required but is of extreme importance. Sharing the journey of VIDYA JOY PVT.LTD, Mukut Jaman traced back the reason that drove his vision into reality and his own experience in the year 2017, when he was a student and wanted to apply for a Bachelor’s course in Pharmacy outside the Northeast. Mukut Jaman, a young student, had needed the help of an admission’s office for his admission concerns but was cheated to a great extent and had paid 20% more than the legit fees of the university. This personal anecdote; inspired, motivated and fuelled the young entrepreneur to step into the world of counselling and help students, especially from the backward areas, giving them a direction without any treachery.
With an eye for detail, Mukut Jaman has taken time to understand the nuances of the counselling business from the perspective of a service provider and the perspective of the student and their family. VIDYA JOY , by the end of 2018, with social media being its sole tool of marketing, with the help of Facebook and Instagram, the organisation got their first ten aspirants who were successfully given admissions in the states of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad, and Delhi. By the turn of the New Year, 2019, he started to give a more concrete shape to this endeavour by creating the website for his organisation (along with the help of his friend). This achievement was doubled with the assembling of the office space in Bongaigaon, one of the important districts in Assam. The student interaction for that faithful year was over 30, with the wishlist increasing to various parts of India and exploring different courses. Mukut Jaman is a young businessman,and the current Founder of VIDYA JOY PRIVATE LIMITED and a philanthropist. An ordinary boy who did not turn to be ordinary but proved himself extraordinary with golden heart. He is a boy who revolutionized the lives of hundreds and thousands of poor students of India. At such a young age, he came out as a savior of fellow students who were struggling with the hardships of their study expenses.
Let’s have a brief look on his background.
He was born on 13 December, in Bongaigaon , Assam, India. He received his early education from St. Francis D’ Assisi school located in his hometown Bongaigaon ,Assam. He passed his matriculation from Nowagon high school Bongaigaon , Assam. Then he moved to Barpeta from where he successfully passed his higher secondary education from Fakaruddin Ali Ahmed Academy Kalgachia ,Assam. During this time, he worked part time in many telecomcompanies such as Vodafone, Idea, Airtel.
Mukut jaman wanted to become a doctor. He always had a compassionate heart for helping others. He used his income from part time jobs to help others and lifted the miserable condition of his fellows. Romantic novels and newspaper reading entertains him a lot. He spent most of his school days studying and helping others.
After the completion of his higher secondary education, he chased the dream of becoming a doctor and sought admission for a seat in medical college. To his disappointment, he could not get admission in M.B.B.S despite of his higher merit. He could not afford college fees and donations so he had to join B. Pharmacy in Nova College of Pharmacy, Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh in 2018.
All this made him ponder over the point that education is a necessity which must be easily approachable and quality education should be provided to all children with no economic and social differences. He was utterly in grief by the working of education consultancies over the fact that they charge unreasonable prices. He came up with the idea of giving consultancy to poor students. He founded VIDYA JOY in 2019.
At the young age of 19, he started giving consultancy services on a larger scale at very reasonable prices. The primary aim behind the establishment of VIDYA JOY was advising highly motivated students because they could not get the best education and training they want because of unavoidable circumstances like financial background and parental issues.
He travels to different parts of India to meet people and give them awareness. He visits various colleges throughout the year to know about placement accommodation. He offers free education to poor students and education loans to students. He does not charge any extra money for consultation.
He has a noble dream of establishing a college in Assam where quality education could be provided. The main goal behind his dream is to provide quality education to poor people at reasonable price, eliminating class differences. During this pandemic, he gave donation to needy people, he also contributed to PM’s covid-19 fund.
In times like this, we need more people like him. He is an astonishing example for the youth and also for the world who are wasting their lives in vain. His faith stands taller than his height and he tells the world that revolution can be brought even from individual. Impossible things can be made possible too, only if one has a will of iron to do so.
