About Annie
After graduating with a degree in Linguistics from the University of Vermont, I enrolled in a Master's in Education program at Lesley University in Boston. During my first year, I studied for licensure tests while completing my student teaching in a 3rd grade classroom where I was responsible for students learning English. I then worked as a Middle School English as a Second Language teacher for Boston Public Schools, where I had my own classroom dedicated to teaching English! This year, I am finishing up my Master's, traveling the world, and teaching English online! I look forward to returning to Boston Public Schools next year, but for now, online English teaching has been a blast! I can't wait to meet you and learn something about your culture!

Learning a language is an adventure! I know what it's like, I've learned 3 languages myself! I take a student-centered approach to teaching, utilizing your strengths to give you an individualized experience. In my lessons we work on English in the 4 key areas- Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking. And we have fun along the way! I have experience teaching English to learners of all levels. Though the majority of my students have been middle school age (11-15 years), I am excited to teach older learners as well.
