About John
I have learned over the course of time that my focus is on teaching students how to teach themselves. For example, one of my South Korean students studied with me for eight to ten weeks and was then able to begin leading worship in a local church. After an introductory lesson, another student reported to his wife that he had learned more in that one lesson, than he had over several years of self-teaching. In short, I believe that a student can learn to play in one lesson.

After Graduating from the Professional Musicians College in Regina Saskatchewan - Professional Bass Program - I played with a Cajun / Zydeco Band for Two years, and then moved on to a semi - professional career, where I played with hundreds of throw together bands over the course of the next thirty years as a bassist, rhythm guitarist, and singer. I have also written and performed original songs in North America and Asia.
