About Doug
I am a piano performer/educator with classical background educated at McGill university and then jazz and popular music at Berklee College of Music. Former organist for the NHL Hartford Whalers Hockey team, and have performed throughout new England including at Mohegan Sun Casino as Music Director for TV 38's television show THE SPORTSFAN.

Each student is unique in their own way and I adapt a lesson plan that will accomplish their goals so they can read and play music. I work with them to teach them how to practice correctly, since they spend most of their time without teaching guidance and it is important that they develop great practice habits to be successful. I encourage a fun attitude and demeanor in all lessons and teach to make piano a passion.
