About Behn
I have a Bachelor's of Musical Arts degree from Western University in London Ontario, and certificate of Music Performance from Cambrian College in Sudbury Ontario. I have over seven years of experience teaching and conducting string ensembles and have composed and performed on the piano since the age of ten.

The practice of music theory I believe should be taught in conjunction with composition. Theory can be seen by students as extensive sets of rules and boundaries, however those boundaries exists as a canvas for creativity. The famous French composer Claude Debussy held the opinion that an artist must first learn the rules first, before they can break them! :D
