About Joss
I have been studying the guitar for over 10 years. During this period, I have spent time performing and writing in various bands, as well as partaking in session work for both recording and live purposes.
I can teach in range of genres (rock, metal, alternative, Jazz, blues, pop etc.), allowing me to help each student find their own sound.
As a BA (Hons) Music Production & Sound Engineering graduate from Point Blank Music School, I have an in-depth knowledge of music theory and various other aspects of the music industry (such as: sound design, production, recording, mixing and mastering). This will help me bring extra elements to each of the lessons.
In addition, I am a freelance composer where I have worked on multiple short films.

I am a strong believer that each student has their own individual way of learning and it is my job to find this out. I like to combine theory with practical examples to reinforce the lessons, allowing the student to progress as fast as possible.
I teach beginners to intermediate players, helping them start out on their journey as a guitarist.
To provide the best lessons that I can, I like to get to know the students first and find out exactly what they would like to achieve so that we can put a plan in place. This can be anything from one off tips & tricks, learning a song you've always wanted to play or beginning the fundamentals of guitar playing.

Details
Online lessons are £20 per hour and will take place via Zoom. Once the Coronavirus situation has changed, I will be able to offer lessons from my home studio.
