About Anvelle

Hello, I’m Anvelle, a student at Nanyang Junior College. I scored A1 for both Elementary Mathematics and Additional Mathematics at O-Level, with over 90% for the papers I attempted.

I wasn’t always a top scorer. I once scored just 22% in Additional Mathematics, and I raised that to over 90%. Because I have been through this journey myself, I know how to identify weak spots, work on them patiently and turn them into strengths. I understand how discouraging a poor result can feel, and I know it can be turned around.

I also graduated from secondary school recently, so I am very familiar with the current syllabus, the exam format and what examiners expect. I know which topics are most commonly tested, where students tend to lose marks and how to present working clearly to earn full credit.

How I teach : I start by finding out which topics you find hardest, then rebuild them from the basics so you understand why a method works instead of memorising steps. We will work through exam-style questions together, and I show you the working and presentation that earn full marks. I share the study strategies that worked for me. I go at your pace, and I’m happy to revisit any topic until it makes sense.

Lesson length: As per requested

Experience: Besides my own results, I have been a volunteer tutor since 2023, tutoring both Primary and Secondary students.

Who my lessons are for: Lower and upper secondary students studying Elementary Mathematics and Additional Mathematics, whether you need to catch up, strengthen your foundations or aim for an A1.
