About Deborah
I taught as an English/Language Arts teacher in the classroom for 30 years. I was promoted as the Creative Writing director for the Atlanta Public Schools from 1997 - 2003.
In the course of my career, I believe that I taught more than a thousand students from K - 12 and college levels.
From 1997 - 2003, ten of my writing students won first-place national essay awards for an annual essay competition, "Stop the Violence, Do the Write Thing". Their essays still remain in The National Library of Congress!

I am a recently retired educator with thirty years experience teaching English/Language Arts. I taught K - 12 and college.
My lesson structures varied depending upon the number of students and various academic levels the students' test scores in their reading, writing and math scores.
I believe that my capacity of having a great sense of humor and a great deal of patience and love of teaching created the teacher and person who I am and always will be.
