About Mae
Hi! I'm Jade, a French native originally from Lyon, now based in Los Angeles. I studied sound and music at EICAR and have professional experience in the live events and music industry, which has kept me constantly immersed in language, communication, and working with people from all backgrounds.
I'm passionate about sharing my language and culture with learners who want to go beyond basic French and truly sound natural. I believe the best way to learn a language is through genuine conversation, and I bring patience, energy, and authenticity to every lesson.
Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to refine your accent, I'll make sure every session feels engaging, comfortable, and productive.

My lessons are built around real conversation, not textbooks. Every session is tailored to the student's level and goals, whether that's losing an accent, gaining confidence, or just being able to hold a conversation in French.
A typical lesson starts with a warm-up conversation on a topic the student enjoys, then we focus on specific pronunciation patterns or sounds that need work, and finish with a short free-conversation to apply everything naturally.
I work with all levels and all ages, from complete beginners to advanced speakers, kids, teens, adults, and professionals. No judgment, no pressure. Just progress at your own pace.
What sets me apart is simple: I'm a true native. I don't just teach French, I live it. I know the difference between textbook French and the way people actually speak, and that's exactly what I teach.
