About Yassir

Greetings! To talk statistics, I tutored more than 10 students every summer in Morocco to learn French. I have a French Baccalaureate with honors. I am a dedicated second-year student at Boston University, renowned for its rigorous academic standards and global reputation. However, what truly sets me apart is my unique background. From my early years in Casablanca, I attended a French school, immersing myself in the language until I completed my French Baccalaureate. This experience instilled in me a profound understanding of the French language and culture.

Having undergone a personal transition from a French-speaking environment to an English-speaking one, I have honed my ability to adapt and bridge the gap between different linguistic worlds. I draw upon this adaptability and cultural fluency to facilitate a seamless and enriching learning experience for you, unraveling the intricacies of the romance language.

Rest assured, I approach teaching with the utmost professionalism, commitment, and diligence. I recognize the importance of fostering an inclusive and supportive environment that nurtures your language acquisition journey. Together, we will navigate the nuances of French, building your confidence and proficiency every step of the way.

If you are ready to embark on an exciting linguistic adventure, do not hesitate to reach out. I am eager to share my expertise and passion for the French language, helping you unlock its beauty and embrace the richness of its cultural heritage.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology is centered around making French not just a subject you learn, but a culture you experience. Each lesson is thoughtfully crafted to not only enhance your linguistic skills but also to immerse you in the richness of French culture, which helps in understanding the practical and nuanced use of the language.

Typical Lesson Outline:

Warm-Up (10 minutes): Quick conversational practice to get you comfortable and in the French-speaking mode.
Core Lesson (30 minutes): Depending on your level, we'll tackle grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, or all three through interactive activities. I use multimedia resources like videos, music, and articles to make the learning process engaging and relevant.
Practical Application (15 minutes): Here, we apply what you've learned in real-world scenarios—role-playing, discussions, or problem-solving in French.
Review and Feedback (5 minutes): We'll review the day's lessons and I’ll provide feedback on your progress, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement.
Teaching Approach:
I believe that language learning should be tailored to the individual. As such, I adapt each lesson to fit your unique needs and learning pace. Whether you need more time to grasp difficult grammatical rules or want to focus more on conversational French, I adjust the lessons accordingly. My goal is to make you feel comfortable and confident in using French in any context.

What Sets My Lessons Apart:
Beyond traditional teaching, I offer insights into French customs, etiquette, and idioms that you won't find in textbooks. This cultural immersion is integral to understanding the language deeply and using it like a native speaker. With my background and approach, I am confident that I can offer a learning experience that is not only educational but also incredibly enriching.
