About Toya
¡Hola! My name is Toya and I am 21 years old. I am Spanish from Seville, I normally live in the UK as I am studying for my degree there, but currently, I am in Mexico doing my year abroad. Before I started university, I was aupairing in the UK. During the first lockdown, I was teaching Spanish to my host children and to some of their friends online too as well as helping their parents with homeschooling. I have been teaching online to children from 5 to 12 years old, as well as adults, starting from zero, for over 2 years now.

Currently, I am working half an hour per group of children per week, and I teach them Spanish vocabulary, such as greetings, colours, numbers, etc... in a fun way!
With the adults, I am doing an hour per week for three adults at the same time. I am teaching them the useful vocabulary to be able to speak Spanish, so instead of learning all the grammar and vocabulary that make us difficult to be actually able to communicate with Spanish people, each week we learn about a topic, such as shopping and we learn things that will let you buy in a Spanish shop!
In the case of conversation classes, we would agree on a topic to talk about, for example, some recent news and we would talk about it, trying to carry on a normal conversation. I would make sure to use the correct vocabulary and good pronunciation, as well as trying to improve the accent if necessary.
I am happy to teach in small groups or on a 1:1 basis.
