About Erick

Hello! My name is Erick, I'm a Colombian teacher traveling the world. I have plenty of experience teaching online and asynchronously as well. I completed 5 years for a Bachelor's in Modern Languages with an emphasis in English and French. I have taught sports, languages, cultures, etc., to different students all around the world. From the United States and Colombia, to the United Kingdom and around Europe.

About the lesson

For the first time, students with me will have a first meeting where we will discuss goals, timeframes, expectations, current levels, and appropriate learning styles. From there, I will propose a methodology to follow. Every lesson will have a structure that will link to the last and next lesson, aiming at learning from the language itself and not as a translation of your first language. My lessons are designed for and have been effective with students across a wide spectrum of the learning curve, from beginners to advanced, and all age ranges.

I had the pleasure of working alongside Erick as a colleague, and I can confidently say he’s one of the most dedicated and responsible people I know! Not only was he fully committed to our language learning journey and our practices as English teachers at university, but he also went above and beyond to create meaningful and engaging lessons for his students. His creativity always stood out to me, as well as his deep knowledge of the language. I would have loved to have a teacher like him.

I worked alongside Erick at an English-teaching academy in Turkey. Erick has spent a lot of time in native English speaking countries, so this experience combined with his background in formal education makes for a stellar teacher. He is knowledgable, concise, and great at answering any questions you may have.
